Two Beloit Projects Earn Statewide Recognition

Henry Dorrbaker’s Pub & Play and the ABC Supply Learning Center were recognized in May among The Daily Reporter’s Top Projects of 2025. Corporate Contractors Inc. (CCI), which is part of the Hendricks Holding Company, served as general contractor on both projects, but other family entities were also involved. The family-owned Geronimo Hospitality Group operates Henry Dorrbaker’s while ABC Supply owns the Learning Center, which supports training and workforce development across its national branch network.

• Henry Dorrbaker’s transformed a roughly 15,900-square-foot former manufacturing space into a popular indoor/outdoor entertainment venue at the Ironworks Campus operated by Geronimo Hospitality Group. 

• The ABC Supply-owned, 43,000-square-foot Learning Center provides training, auditorium, and media space for associates across the company’s national branch network. The project illustrates ABC’s long-standing commitment to associate training and development.

Why it matters: The Henry Dorrbaker’s project shows how Hendricks Commercial Properties, Geronimo, and CCI can combine real estate, hospitality operations, and construction expertise to reposition an older industrial asset at the Ironworks Campus. 

Monopar Begins Rolling FDA Submission for ALXN1840

Monopar Therapeutics (Nasdaq: MNPR) initiated a rolling New Drug Application (NDA) submission for ALXN1840 on July 22 after the treatment candidate received FDA Rare Pediatric Disease designation in June. ALXN1840 is being developed by Monopar as a treatment for Wilson disease, a rare genetic disorder that can cause harmful copper accumulation in the liver, brain, and other organs.

Monopar is a clinical-stage biotechnology company headquartered in Wilmette, Illinois, developing treatments for rare diseases and cancer, including radiopharmaceuticals designed to diagnose and treat advanced cancers.

Why it matters: The FDA’s Rare Pediatric Disease designation is a regulatory status that flags a drug as targeting a serious, uncommon condition that affects children. If the drug is ultimately approved, Monopar could earn a Priority Review Voucher, which would allow a future drug to be reviewed and approved more quickly.
