Three Family Businesses Join ABC Supply Ahead of Leadership Transition
ABC Supply added three long-tenured, owner-run distributors this summer, and each fills a different niche within the business.
Wallboard Inc. (Butler, WI — June). Founded in 1983, Wallboard has served drywall, steel framing and insulation contractors across southeastern Wisconsin from a single location on the western edge of the Milwaukee metro. It gives ABC Supply Interiors its eighth Wisconsin location and its second in the Milwaukee market, in the unit's first year operating under the ABC name since the February rebrand from L&W Supply. Wallboard's team stays on.
Koch Building Products (Sandusky, OH — June). Koch has sold windows, doors, siding, patio enclosures, awnings and railings to northern Ohio contractors since 1952 as a division of Koch Aluminum. Unlike the other two deals, the Sandusky branch now runs under the ABC Supply name. All associates stay, and Jill Hartley, who leads the business and is owner Randy Koch's daughter, remains through the transition.
Martini Brick Sales (Corpus Christi, TX — August). Independently owned since 1957, Martini Brick adds expertise in masonry cladding products, including brick, block, cast and faux stone, along with anchorage, drainage and fireplace construction components. The business will continue operating under the Martini Brick name, retaining its associates, while its current leader stays on as a business development manager.
The common thread is a familiar one: acquire a respected local operator, keep the people who hold the contractor relationships, and let the local name stand where it carries weight.
Leadership note. Keith Rozolis will retire as ABC’s CEO at year-end after 12 years in the role, and Mike Jost, president and COO since 2024, takes over January 1, 2027.
Under Keith’s leadership ABC enjoyed tremendous growth and profitability. He joined ABC Supply in 1999 as vice president of strategic marketing and planning. As CEO Keith has been instrumental in many major strategic initiatives, including associate and customer engagement measurement programs by the Gallup organization, the ABC Supply Customer Service Delivery System (CSDS), and MyABC Supply, a digital portal and mobile application that serves as a virtual ABC branch for contractors. Keith will stay on as an executive advisor and board member.
Mike has risen through the ranks at ABC. He began his career in 1998 as an outside sales representative and then branch manager at Washington Roofing Products, coming to ABC Supply in 2002 as Springfield, Va. branch manager when ABC purchased Washington Roofing as part of its acquisition of Cameron Ashley Building Products. In 2005 he joined the Northeast Region team as sales and marketing manager, later serving as business manager for siding and windows. He returned to lead the Springfield branch in May 2008, attaining Managing Partner status and earning his President's Club jacket, and became manager of the Mid-Atlantic District in 2012.
Mike was promoted to vice president of operations in 2013, chief operating officer in 2018, and president and COO in December 2024. Today he leads the performance and operations of ABC's locations across North America, along with its branch and manufacturing operations and divisional companies, including ABC Supply Interiors. His responsibilities also extend to marketing, merchandising, real estate, education, fleet, safety, and national business development. Mike was a core member of the team that developed CSDS and has been instrumental in supporting many other initiatives across the company, making him a natural choice to lead ABC into its next chapter.
